Which glasses should I buy? The quick answer
Most buyers only need to answer one question: what will you do in them? First, use the table to find your match. Then read the steps below for the details.

Step 1: Which glasses should I buy for how I live? Start with the lens
The lens is the part that changes how the glasses work for you, so choose it first. Also, frame prices at Lens & Co include the lens you pick.
- Anti blue light: clear lenses that filter part of the blue light from phones, laptops and TV, so they are best for screen time, work and study. Frames start from ₦10,000, and you can also browse anti blue light glasses.
- Photochromic: clear indoors and darker in sunlight, with UV400 protection, so they are best if your day moves between inside and outside. Frames start from ₦12,000, and you can also browse photochromic glasses.
- Photochromic blue cut: does both, filtering screen light and darkening outdoors. Frames start from ₦12,000, and you can also browse photochromic blue cut glasses.
- Clear lens: plain clear lenses with no tint or filter, the standard choice for everyday prescription glasses. Frames start from ₦10,000, and you can also browse clear lens glasses.
If you are not sure how photochromic and blue cut differ, read photochromic vs blue cut lenses. However, be wary of the label "anti radiation": our guide explains what anti radiation glasses really do. Also, blue light glasses are a comfort aid, not a medical treatment, so if your vision is blurry you need an eye test first. If you are unsure, see do I need glasses?
Step 2: Which glasses should I buy for my face shape?
A good frame balances your features, so start with your face shape. Then find your face shape in the table, or use the face shape tool to find it from a photo or three quick questions. If you want a longer walk-through, read how to choose glasses for your face shape.
| Face shape | What it looks like | Frames that suit it | Shop |
|---|---|---|---|
| Round | Face about as wide as it is long, with full cheeks and a soft jaw | Square or rectangular frames that add angles, a little wider than your cheekbones | Round face frames |
| Oval | Face a little longer than it is wide, with balanced features | Almost any shape. Bold or oversized styles also work | Oval face frames |
| Square | Forehead, cheekbones and jaw close in width, with a strong jawline | Round and oval frames that soften angles, or thin metal frames | Square face frames |
| Heart | Widest at the forehead and cheekbones, narrower chin | Light, rounded or rimless frames, and bottom-heavy frames | Heart face frames |
| Oblong | Noticeably longer than it is wide, with a straight cheek line | Taller frames with depth, and big or oversized frames | Oblong face frames |
Step 3: Check the size and fit
Size is the most common reason glasses feel wrong, so check it before you pay. Frames list three numbers in millimetres, for example 50-19-144:
- Lens width (50): this is how wide each lens is, so it sets the overall width.
- Bridge (19): this is the gap that sits on your nose, so it affects comfort.
- Temple length (144): this is the length of each arm, so it affects how the glasses sit behind your ears.
The easiest check is to find the same three numbers printed on the inside of the arm of a pair you already wear comfortably, then choose a frame close to them. In general, a good fit sits slightly wider than your face and does not press on your temples or slide down your nose. Also, most product pages at Lens & Co list these numbers and the frame size (small, medium or big). You can also try glasses on your face before you buy. If you want to choose by material, read titanium, metal or plastic frames and shop titanium frames.
Step 4: How much should I pay for the glasses I buy?
Glasses at Lens & Co start from ₦10,000. However, the price rises with the lens type and the frame material, for example titanium. So here is the range for each lens, checked on 2 October 2026:
| Lens type | Price range | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Anti blue light | ₦10,000 to ₦44,000 | Phones, laptops and TV |
| Photochromic | ₦12,000 to ₦44,500 | Indoors and outdoors |
| Photochromic blue cut | ₦12,000 to ₦49,500 | Screens and sun together |
| Clear lens | ₦10,000 to ₦35,000 | Everyday prescription glasses |

Buying prescription glasses online
You can order glasses with your prescription without visiting a shop, so here is how it works:
- First, get an eye test. We are an eyewear brand, not an eye clinic, so visit a qualified optometrist first.
- Next, choose a frame. Pick one marked as suitable for prescription lenses on its product page, because not every frame can take a prescription.
- Then upload your prescription. Use the prescription page. If you cannot read it, see how to read your glasses prescription.
- After that, confirm on WhatsApp. We confirm your lenses, price and delivery date before you pay.
- Finally, pay and receive. Pay by card online, then we deliver to you. Because prescription lenses are made first, allow for that time.

Frequently asked questions: which glasses should I buy?
Which glasses should I buy if I work on a laptop all day?
First, choose photochromic blue cut lenses in a frame that fits well. They filter screen light and also darken outdoors, so one pair works at your desk and on the road. If you only want minimal protection against screen light, choose anti blue light glasses instead. Both are comfort aids, not medical treatments. However, if your vision is blurry, get an eye test first and add your prescription if you need one. See our screen glasses and the guide to the best glasses for working on a laptop all day.
Which glasses should I buy for my face shape?
Round faces suit square or rectangular frames, square faces suit round or oval frames, oval faces suit almost any shape, heart-shaped faces suit light or bottom-heavy frames, and oblong faces suit taller, bigger frames. So use our face shape tool to find yours in about a minute.
How do I know which glasses size to buy?
First, look at the three numbers printed on the inside of the arm of a pair you already wear comfortably, for example 50-19-144. They are the lens width, the bridge width and the temple length in millimetres. Product pages at Lens & Co show these numbers for most frames, so you can compare them with your own pair.
How much do glasses cost at Lens & Co?
Glasses start from ₦10,000, but the price depends on the frame and the lens you choose. For example, anti blue light frames run from ₦10,000 to ₦44,000, photochromic from ₦12,000 to ₦44,500, photochromic blue cut from ₦12,000 to ₦49,500, and clear lens frames from ₦10,000 to ₦35,000. Prices were checked on 2 October 2026.
Can I buy prescription glasses online in Nigeria?
Yes. First, choose a frame marked as suitable for prescription lenses, then upload your prescription, and we confirm your lenses, price and delivery date on WhatsApp before you pay. We are an eyewear brand, not an eye clinic, so you need an eye test from a qualified optometrist first. See prescription glasses.
Do you deliver the glasses I buy outside Lagos?
Yes, to all 36 states and the FCT. Delivery within Lagos is usually 24 to 48 hours. However, outside Lagos it takes 3 to 7 working days after your glasses are produced. We confirm the delivery fee and date before your order ships. Read the delivery policy.
Are blue light glasses worth buying?
They can make long screen sessions more comfortable for some people. Eye specialists say screens do not damage the eyes and that the evidence for blue light glasses is limited, so breaks, good lighting and an eye test matter more. Read our honest answer: are blue light glasses worth it?
Can I try glasses on before I buy?
Yes. Our virtual try-on places a frame on your camera view or photo, so you can compare up to three frames. Some frames use a drawn shape at the real size until a photo-accurate version is added. Also, each product page lists the measurements.
